Prayers and Announcements

Announcements & Prayers (Week of 21-27 July 2024)

(Weekly Prayer Schedule Follows the Announcement)

  • Special Thanks:  A special thanks is extended to Kimberly Dellinger for sharing her talent and love for the Lord through music and song today.  May God bless you and your ministry.

  • New Members’ Orientation:  Anyone interested in joining the church is invited to our next New Members’ Orientation session to be held today from 3:00pm-4:30pm.

  • Youth Gatherings: This Fall, we will be starting Ignite: Fairfield Youth Ministries!   We will have two Summer “Kick Off” get-togethers, the first of which is today at Beatty’s Ford Park from 3 - 5 pm.  This will be a very informal get-together with a few snacks and drinks to just allow our kids to enjoy some time together.  Be sure to bring a swimsuit for the splash pad!  All Fairfield kids are invited.  The second outing will be at Spare Time in Huntersville on August 25 from 3 - 5 pm.  For more information, please see Lindsey McIntosh or Jennifer Henneman.

  • Weekly Prayer Meeting:  Join us for a weekly prayer meeting in the sanctuary at Fairfield beginning at 10:00am every Monday.  We’ll pray for the church, our community, our nation and the world.

  • Men’s Chorus:  The Men’s Chorus will practice this Wednesday at 6:00pm.

  • Choir:  The choir will practice this Wednesday at 7:00pm.

  • Finance Team Meeting:  The Finance Team will meet on Wednesday, July 24, at 10:00am.

  • Prayer Teams Meeting:  The Prayer Teams will meet on Thursday, July 25, at 6:00pm.  Anyone interested in being a part of the Prayer Teams is invited to join us.

  • Campmeeting:  Mark your calendars now for Campmeeting to be held July 29-August 11.  We will not have Sunday services (including Sunday School) at Fairfield on August 4 or August 11.  Everyone is invited to join us at the Campground on those Sundays.  More information regarding service times and events is available on the table in the hallway.

  • Back-to-School Drive:  The Youth Sunday School class is sponsoring a Back-to-School supply drive for two local elementary schools.  A list of items most needed at each school is available on the table in the commons area and on the church website.  Items will be collected through August 25.

  • Fairfield Occupation & Hobby Directory:  Jennifer Henneman is compiling a list of members who have small businesses or used to work in fields (or have hobbies) who would like to connect with other members. This way we can utilize the businesses of fellow church members for services we may normally look for elsewhere!  If you are interested in being included in the directory, please pick up a form or fill out the Google Form online by going to www.tinyurl.com/FairfieldOccupations. We'd like to have all responses by the end of August. Thank you!

  • Children’s Message Volunteers Needed:  Each week Fairfield seeks to offer a short children’s message in the service.  We rely on volunteers to provide these timely messages.  If you would like to volunteer to teach a children’s message, the sign-up sheet for 2024 is available on the bulletin board in the hallway.

  • Prayer Request Cards:  If you have a request you’d like our prayer teams to join with you in praying about, please complete the card and drop it in the “church box” located in the hallway.  Our prayer warrior volunteers will receive these requests via email to begin prayer, and we’ll also pray over these cards whenever our prayer teams meet.

  • Phonetree:  Fairfield has a phone messaging service that we use to send announcements and reminders to the congregation.  If you would like to receive these messages, please contact Pastor Billy.
