Announcements & Prayers (Week of 12 - 18 July 2026)
(Weekly Prayer Schedule Follows the Announcements)
- Handmade Greeting Cards: The Youth Sunday School class is selling handmade greeting cards today and next Sunday to raise money for the Building Fund. Individual cards or packaged (set of 4) cards are available for a donation. It’s the perfect way to celebrate special occasions for friends and loved ones, or give a packaged set as a gift, while supporting the church’s dreams for a new building.
- Men’s Chorus: The Men’s Chorus will practice this afternoon at 3:00pm. New members are always welcome.
- Weekly Prayer Meeting: The weekly Monday prayer meeting will be held tomorrow at 11:00am. Join us to pray for the church, our community, our nation and the world.
- Campmeeting Children’s Week Props: We will begin building props for Children’s Week at Campmeeting on Tuesday, July 14, and continue each weekday until the props are finished. Anyone interested in helping is invited to join us at the Campground beginning each morning at 8:00am.
- Finance Team: The Finance Team will meet on Tuesday, July 14, at 1:00pm.
- Weekly Men’s Breakfast: There will be no weekly Men’s gathering for breakfast and fellowship for the remainder of the summer. These regular gatherings will resume on September 2.
- Choir practice: The choir will practice this Wednesday at 6:00pm. New members are always welcome.
- Praise Band: The Praise Band will practice this Thursday at 7:00pm. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to share your talent in our praise band, we invite you to try out with the band.
- Fabulous Friday Volunteers Needed: This Friday, July 17, Fairfield will be volunteering at Hills Chapel UMC to help with their Fabulous Friday event. This is an opportunity to minister to children in the community who come together for Bible lessons, crafts and games. Breakfast is also provided. Volunteers are needed from 8:00am-3:00pm. Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Jan Ledford for details.
- Campmeeting: Campmeeting at the Rock Spring Campground will be held Monday, July 27, through Sunday, August 9. We will not have Sunday services (including Sunday School) at Fairfield on Sunday, August 2 or Sunday, August 9. Everyone is invited to join us at the Campground on those Sundays. More information regarding service times and events will be available in the coming weeks.
- Building Fund: Recently, the Administrative Council approved plans to explore options for a building addition/remodel to help us better serve our members and our community. As we begin this journey, we welcome your prayers for the project and the church, as well as your contributions to our Building Fund. Your support will help lay the foundation for the next chapter of our ministry. Together, following the Lord’s will, we can build something that will bless generations to come. Thank you for your faithful support.
- Online Giving Available: For those who wish to give to the church electronically, you may visit our website (fairfieldmethodist.org) and click on the “Online Giving” tab. Thank you for your prayerful and generous support to Fairfield as we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ with a lost and hurting world.
- Prayer Schedule: A new Prayer Schedule for this week is available on the table in the hallway. Prayer Schedules are produced by our Discipleship Team and provided to help us broaden our prayer focus and unite the church in praying for specific causes. Please pick up a copy today and join us in united prayer.
- Phonetree: Fairfield has a phone messaging service that we use to send announcements and reminders to the congregation. If you would like to receive these messages, please contact Pastor Billy.

Before many songs reached the radio, their message was already found in Scripture. A line from the song “I Won’t Let Go,” sung by Rascal Flatts is listed starting Monday. If you read them in order, it’s a great chorus! |
