Announcements & Prayers (Week of 31 May - 6 June 2026)

(Weekly Prayer Schedule Follows the Announcements)

  • Special Thanks:  A special thanks is extended to everyone who is helping with the service this morning, and to Bruce Carlton for bringing the message today.  May God bless each of you for your ministry among us.
  • Men’s Chorus:  There will be no Men’s Chorus practice today.
  • Revival Prayer Meeting:  The community Revival Prayer Meeting hosted by Fairfield will be held tomorrow,   June 1, beginning at 8:30am.  Join us to pray for revival and awakening in Denver.
  • Food Pantry Tour and Volunteer Opportunity:  We have a tour scheduled at the Lake Norman Food Mission hosted by Denver Wesleyan Church (located at 2381 N. NC 16) tomorrow at 10:00am.  They’re in need of volunteers and food donations for the 600 families they’re serving.  See Jan Ledford for details.
  • Weekly Prayer Meeting:  The weekly Monday prayer meeting will be held tomorrow at 11:00am.  Join us to pray for the church, our community, our nation and the world.
  • Weekly Men’s Breakfast:  All men of the church are invited to gather each Wednesday at 9:00am for breakfast and fellowship at a local restaurant. If you’d like to join the group–even occasionally–and wish to receive weekly text reminders of time and location, please contact Tim Sweeney.
  • Choir practice:  The choir will practice this Wednesday at 6:00pm.  New members are always welcome.
  • Homecoming:  Join us next Sunday, June 7, for a grand Homecoming celebration at Fairfield!  We’ll celebrate with one service–held outside–beginning at 10:00am.  We will also have a covered-dish meal on the grounds following the service.  Invite your family and friends to help us celebrate what God is doing among us!
  • Bucket Ministry:  Next Sunday, we’ll be receiving a special offering for the bucket ministry.  Your donations to this ministry go toward mission projects sponsored by the children and youth Sunday School classes.
  • Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunity:  Tree of Life Church is sponsoring a summer camp at Mill Creek Middle School located at 1041 Shiloh Rd. in Claremont June 8-11 from 9am-1pm.  Volunteers are needed for serving food, guiding children to activities and referees for games.  See Jan Ledford for details.
  • “Hot Dogs on the Court”:  On Tuesday, June 30, Fairfield will host a “Hot Dogs on the Court” event on our basketball court/playground area.  This is a summer block party event to connect with members of the community, and is a great opportunity to share hospitality and fellowship with our community.  Signup sheets are available in the hallway for those who wish to donate items or volunteer to serve food. You do not need to sign up to attend the event and fellowship with our community.  We hope you’ll make plans to join us for this summer block party and connect with our community.
  • Prayer Schedule:  A new Prayer Schedule for this week is available on the table in the hallway.  Prayer Schedules are produced by our Discipleship Team and provided to help us broaden our prayer focus and unite the church in praying for specific causes.  Please pick up a copy today and join us in united prayer.
  • Online Giving Available:  For those who wish to give to the church electronically, you may visit our website (fairfieldmethodist.org) and click on the “Online Giving” tab.  Thank you for your prayerful and generous support to Fairfield as we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ with a lost and hurting world.
  • Ushers:  Anyone interested in volunteering as an usher (in either service) is invited to contact Greg Sunday to sign up.
