Announcements & Prayers (Week of 12 - 18 April 2026)

- Faith Sharing Study: You’re invited to join us in a church-wide study on the principles and methods of sharing our faith. Sunday School classes are joining in this discussion using the book Share Jesus Without Fear by William Fay to facilitate this discussion. Everyone is encouraged to read the book.
- Men’s Chorus: The Men’s Chorus will practice this afternoon at 3:00pm. New members are always welcome.
- Bible Study: Join us for Bible Study on the book of Daniel each Monday. Two sessions are offered for your convenience: one at 9:30am and a second at 6:00pm. No special materials are needed for the study beyond your favorite Bible. Please invite a friend and join us as we study God’s Word together. Tomorrow’s discussion will focus on chapter 9.
- Weekly Prayer Meeting: The weekly Monday prayer meeting will be held tomorrow at 11:00am. Join us to pray for the church, our community, our nation and the world.
- Finance Team: The Finance Team will meet this Tuesday, April 14, at 1:00pm.
- Weekly Men’s Breakfast: All men of the church are invited to gather each Wednesday at 9:00am for breakfast and fellowship at a local restaurant. If you’d like to join the group–even occasionally–and wish to receive weekly text reminders of time and location, please contact Tim Sweeney.
- Choir practice: The choir will practice this Wednesday at 6:00pm. New members are always welcome.
- Administrative Council: The Administrative Council will meet next Sunday, April 19, at 3:00pm.
- Pinto Bean Supper: We will host our next community-wide Pinto Bean Supper on Tuesday, April 21, beginning at 5:30pm. If you’d like to volunteer the day of the event, we will meet in the fellowship hall about 4:00pm. You may also stay afterward to help clean up. Please invite your friends and neighbors to join us for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship.
- Martha & Mary Circle: The Martha & Mary Circle will meet on Wednesday, April 22, at 10:00am in the fellowship hall. All women of the church are invited.
- Discipleship Team: The Discipleship Team will meet on Thursday, April 23, at 1:30pm.
- AED Training: If you would like to receive training for the AED defibrillator but were unable to attend earlier training sessions, another training session will be offered on Sunday, April 26, during the Sunday School hour. Please contact Anita Sweeney for more details.
- Children’s Message Volunteers: Each week Fairfield seeks to offer a short children’s message in the service. If you’d like to volunteer to deliver one of those messages, you may sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway. Simply select a brief passage of Scripture from which to teach and offer a simple explanation of the passage or short testimony of how that verse has affected you.
- Online Giving Available: For those who wish to give to the church electronically, you may visit our website (fairfieldmethodist.org) and click on the “Online Giving” tab. Thank you for your prayerful and generous support to Fairfield as we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ with a lost and hurting world.
- Ushers: Anyone interested in volunteering as an usher (in either service) is invited to contact Greg Sunday to sign up.
