Announcements & Prayers (Week of 26 October - 1 November 2025)

(Weekly Prayer Schedule Follows the Announcement)

  • Men’s Chorus:  The Men’s Chorus will practice this afternoon at 3:00pm.
  • Volunteers needed:  The Nurture Team is organizing a visitation team to provide care for members of our church family, including those who are, or have recently been, hospitalized, homebound, or sick at home.  A signup sheet is available in the Commons Area for those interested in volunteering, or you may contact Anita Sweeney.
  • Ushers:  Anyone interested in volunteering as an usher (in either service) is invited to contact Greg Sunday to sign up.
  • Prayer Warriors Needed:  Would you like to receive weekly prayer requests and join other prayer warriors in praying for specific needs in our Fairfield family and community?  You can sign-up by sending an email indicating your interest to fairfieldprayer@gmail.com and start receiving weekly prayer requests.
  • Prayer Schedule:  A new Prayer Schedule for this week is available on the table in the hallway.  Prayer Schedules are produced by our Prayer Teams and provided to help us broaden our prayer focus and unite the church in praying for specific causes.  Please pick up a copy today and join us in united prayer.
  • Phonetree:  Fairfield has a phone messaging service that we use to send announcements and reminders to the congregation.  If you would like to receive these messages, please contact Pastor Billy.
  • Lakewood Care Team:  A team of volunteers visits Lakewood Care Center on Optimist Club Rd. in Denver once a month to deliver gifts and visit with the residents.  Anyone interested is invited to contact Scottie Barker.  You may also make a donation to support this ministry by earmarking your separate contribution “Lakewood Care.”
  • Changing Clocks:  Remember to run your clocks back one hour this Saturday night, November 1, as Daylight Savings Time ends.
  • Supper Club:  Due to busy holiday schedules, there will be no Supper Club gatherings in November, December or January.  We will resume Supper Club on February 5, 2026 with a “Soup” theme.  Everyone in the church is invited to join us for an evening of great food and fellowship!
  • BBQ:  Join us for our Annual BBQ this Saturday, November 1.  We’ll begin serving at 11:00am and serve until 7:00pm, or until we’ve sold out.  All proceeds will benefit our Missions Outreach efforts.  Volunteer signup sheets are available in the hallway.  A group of volunteers will also meet this Friday to get things ready both inside and outside.  Anyone available to help on Friday is invited to join us at 9:00am.
  • Mid-Week Prayer Meeting:  Join us each Wednesday at 7:00pm for Prayer Meeting.
  • Choir practice:  The choir will practice this Wednesday at 6:30pm.  New choir members are always welcome!
  • Cantata:  The choir will be doing a Cantata this December.  Anyone who would like to participate in this musical is invited to join the choir on Wednesdays at 6:00pm.  We would love to have you join us.
  • Weekly Men’s Breakfast:  All men of the church are invited to gather each Wednesday at 9:00am for breakfast and fellowship at a local restaurant. If you’d like to join the group–even occasionally–and wish to receive weekly text reminders of time and location, please contact Tim Sweeney.
  • Bible Study:  Our Bible Study on the book of Hebrews continues tomorrow.  Two sessions are offered for your convenience:  one at 9:30am and a second at 6:00pm.  No special materials are needed for the study beyond your favorite Bible.  Tomorrow’s discussion will focus on chapter 7.  Please join us!
